    Details of the Mauritius Government Scholarship 2025

    The Government of Mauritius provides fully funded scholarships to deserving African students. The scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, and a return airfare from the student’s country of origin.

    Applications must be submitted to the Nominating Agency in your country (typically the Ministry of Education) and NOT directly to Mauritius.

    Eligibility Requirements

    • For undergraduate programmes, applicants must be above 18 years and below 26 years by 01 January 2026.
    • For PhD programmes, applicants must be below 40 years by 01 January 2026.
    • Applicants must have applied for a full-time on-campus programme (Diploma, Degree, MPhil, or PhD) at a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius.
    • Applicants must meet the academic qualifications required by their chosen program.

    Scholarship Benefits

    The scholarship will cover:

    • Full tuition fees for the duration of the program.
    • Living expenses during studies in Mauritius.
    • A return airfare (economy class) from the country of origin at the beginning and end of studies.

    Required Documents

    Applicants are required to submit:

    • A completed application form (download from the link below).
    • Endorsement by the Nominating Agency in the applicant’s country.
    • Proof of application to a public Higher Education Institution in Mauritius.
    • Other supporting documents as required by the chosen program.

    How to Apply

    1. Submit your application form and supporting documents to the Nominating Agency in your country (usually the Ministry of Education).
    2. The Nominating Agency will endorse and shortlist candidates for final selection.
    3. Shortlisted applications will be forwarded to Mauritius for review and final approval.
