Details of the UNESCO Great Wall China Scholarship
The UNESCO/China Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme 2025-2026 offers 75 fully funded scholarships for postgraduate studies and research in China. The scholarship is open to international students and researchers from 135 developing countries.
This program provides tuition, accommodation, and a monthly stipend for selected candidates. Priority is given to applicants from UNESCO-China Fund-in-Trust (CFIT) beneficiary countries and women candidates from Africa and SIDS.
Eligibility Requirements
- For General Scholar Programmes: Must hold a high school diploma and be under 45 years old.
- For Senior Scholar Programmes: Must hold a master's degree or associate professor position (or higher) and be under 50 years old.
- For Master’s Degree Programmes: Must hold a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old.
- For Doctoral Degree Programmes: Must hold a master's degree and be under 40 years old.
- Language Proficiency: English is required. For Chinese-taught programs, HSK Level 4 is needed.
- Meet the admission requirements of the applied universities in terms of academic ability and language skills.
- Must be in good health, both mentally and physically.

- Submit to National Commission: Submit your application and supporting documents to your country’s National Commission for UNESCO.
