Fully Funded Bachelor’s Degree in General Medicine in Cuba
Overview
The Higher Education Council (HEC) is excited to announce an exceptional scholarship opportunity for Rwandan students. Through a partnership between the Republic of Cuba and the Government of Rwanda, this scholarship offers full financial support for bachelor’s studies in General Medicine for the upcoming academic year.
This program aims to strengthen global educational collaboration and prepare skilled medical professionals who will contribute to the improvement of Rwanda’s healthcare system.

Available Programs
The scholarship is specifically for bachelor’s studies in General Medicine, providing students with extensive training in medical sciences. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills required for successful careers in healthcare.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Background: Must have successfully completed studies in one of the following subject combinations:
- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB)
- Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology (MCB)
- Academic Performance:
- Achieved a minimum score of 80% (or its equivalent) in the Senior Six National Examinations.
- Demonstrated academic excellence in science subjects.
Required Documents
- Application Letter: Addressed to the Director General of the Higher Education Council (HEC), stating the purpose of the application.
- Valid Passport: A copy of your valid passport for identification.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed CV highlighting your educational achievements and other relevant experiences.
- Passport-Size Photograph: A recent passport-sized photo for identification purposes.
- Academic Certificates and Transcripts: Original or notarized copies, verified by a notary.
- Recommendation Letter: A formal letter from the Head of your secondary school, confirming completion of secondary education and evaluating your academic and personal qualities.
